Yup...and cussin people out for not replying is a sure way to encourage donations! How do you know the 37 viewers didn't mark the date down on their calendars for a reminder to donate at Publix? Besides, the link you provided has much more information for someone willing to help out than you post does...maybe they went there.
Thanks for bringing Feed the Harbor to our attention.

Our Tailgaters Club had a car show at Holy Trinity Church parking lot and the entry fee was to bring a minimum of five canned food items for their food bank. Our Corvette Club collects canned food at our annual Christmas party from each member. In fact, all the car clubs I belong to do a canned food drive of some sort. There are many organizations that do it throughout the year.

Or possibly some viewers are not in the area at that time!

MikMal I read and hear this Mantra all the time.. People would if, the government didnt jump in so quick but thats azzbackwards because its actually. The Government has to, because people dont. I for one get tired of hearing that kind of talk.. Call it being blessed or call it being lucky, but none of us would have what we have, if we werent living here in America.
Pay It Forward, just a little.

Sorry for viewing your post Mac but I'm 1200 miles away so I think two days of driving and $500 in fuel was a bit much for me to get my truck down there to help. Thanks for making us aware but I think you're doing more harm then good.

Mac, we don't have a place down there, but if we were there on vacation it'd be our pleasure to help out, even if was for a limited amount of time. Sorry we can't be of assistance.

As someone said, folks have read this thread and now may be aware of the organization and help out in their own way, thanks to your link.

We are very much involved in local organizations in our town that do similar events, esp. those centered around kids in need. Here on this forum we contemplate boats, houses, etc., whereas many, by accident of birth, couldn't even contemplate such things. It's good to have perspective, and to help out in whatever way one can.
