So when all's said and done I'll have a 3bed/2 bath with over 100 ft. on the water in the Charlotte County/ Port Charlotte/ Punta Gorda area fully furnished with a new dock and boat lift. Throw in the awesome winter weather and it was a no brainer for me. And I'm guessing this applies to at least half of the forum posters.

that why im here

It's nice to see Cape Coral on the list too.

That is why we moved down here a year ago. But if you want to grow jobs, Charlotte Co needs to get out of the way, and a complete revision of the contractor rules needs to be done. Right now, the combination is stifling job growth and new businesses.

You sound like us!! We have a lot on a canal in PC, we've had it for nearly 5 years!
Speaking of the countdown, we have one of those countdown clocks on our mantle here in Wisconsin, counting down to when mr.cool is eligible!! I got excited the other day when I noticed it went under 1100 days.

There are countdown apps for your phone so you can look at it anywhere you go too.

News from The Associated Press

The other Florida metro areas in the top 20 were Fort Myers, Naples, Orlando, Sarasota and Panama City. Of those metro areas, Sarasota, Fort Myers and Naples would have had negative or stagnant growth if not for the influx of new residents. Those areas recorded low numbers of births and high numbers of deaths.

Interesting...I had some dark humor to add but thought better of it

For those of you folks who are don't live here yet but are considering it, I really don't recommend it. It's not that great. Stay home/w wherever that is.
