Thought we would try out the tennis court at the Port Charlotte Beach Park this morn and were pleasantly surprised with the entire park and facilities. A bit windy for tennis but overall a great morn spent exploring the park.

Without a doubt One of, if not the nicest parks around and a nice boat ramp and trailer parking area to boot.

We had our work picnic there at one of the pavillions this past year. It is a nice park for any type of function - car club picnic, work picnic, birthday party, anniversary party, etc. They have the indoor rooms you can rent too. It is a nice park but you do have to pay to park there. I like bringing my dog there and walking around. The dogs aren't allowed on the pier or the beach though. We wanted to take the grandkids there one day when they were here last year, but never made it. They could spend the entire time just swimming in our pool at the house. They liked that better than the beach.

We took our 2 groups to Lowry Zoo and to Pelican Harbor / Bay on our power boat and To PC Beach Club and over to Boca Beach and Ponce Park and The animal rescue etc etc etc but the most time was spent..... in our pool as well. We had a pool for as long as any of them can remember, but here its basically part of the house, they loved that.. I thought for sure the boat trip would be #1 but the pool took that slot hands down..

The indoor facilities are really nice. They were getting ready to setup for a wedding reception when we were there. They are redoing the boardwalk and deck areas around and behind the main building. The parking is cheap and super easy... they take paper, coins and credit.

I have never fished there but I assume you fish off the pier, so have you any hints as to what to fish with? OK OK besides a rod and reel
