We recently used Gibson's Septic Service when we needed that service. Great response when we called them early on a Saturday morning, they were there and finished with the work within three hours after we called them. There was a surcharge for the weekend emergency work, but I think that's about standard. Nice folks.

I used Gibson also. They did my clean out and inspection twice....I was afraid of them failing my 43 year old tank but they passed it. It did need a cement repair job on the outlet but they only charged me $20 to do it.

I've used Gibson as well and they've been fine. They failed a tank for a client of mine in Port Charlotte, which was fine. I want my clients to know if they're issues with the home they're buying. It was a bank home and my client and the bank ended up splitting the cost of the repair in the form of a buyer credit. I spoke with him after it was done and he said he was happy with them. I have also used SOS, Englewood Environmental and Martin and they've all done a good job.

I know Mike Koester, the home inspector on here, uses someone else and he's been happy with them. The name escapes me right now but I'm sure he can chime in with it. I will be dealing with his recommendations this week, so I'll let you know how it goes. The other vendors that Mike as recommended have been good.

I have used Martin's Septic every time in North Port and Port Charlotte. My buyers have also used them for septic inspections and clean outs.

We recently used Martin. They came the same day and were very nice. They also gave us tips on keeping our system running smoothly. I'll use them again.

HANDS DOWN, Englewood Environmental. GREAT service, slightly lower prices (at least used to be), and thorough inspection once empty (required by permit).

It's good to know there are several good septic company options around.
