Hi all...

We are new to the area and would love some advice and/or a recommendation. We just closed on a home in Port Charlotte, and the a/c unit is leaking badly and needs replacement. We knew it was a 30 year old air handler in the attic so no surprise to us....

We had PREMIUM AIR SOLUTIONS come to the house this weekend and recharged our leaky system. Repair tech seemed knowledgeable and was great. He gave me a ballpark price for a Trane system and a Colemen system.

I know Trane is considered the better system, but was hoping someone could give me their experience dealing with Premium Air as an installer, or if I should go in another direction.

We are only here for a few days per month, so it is difficult to line up multiple HVAC companies for a quote...heading back north tomorrow, then back down around July 4th...hoping the unit lasts until then!

Any advice?.. And thanks in advance from a newbie on the boards!

Hey neighbor!
We've had good service out of Kobe Complete AC. Been using them for years for annual system maintenance and the occasional repair. When are you leaving today? We keep missing each other.

Just had a complete system put in by Bruno Heating and Air. My sister highly recommended them and was impressed by their quality of work and professionalism. They were quick to give a price quote and their follow up was commendable. My ex husband owns an HVAC co in Illinois and I had him look over the quote as it was lower than some others, he said it was very fair and a good product.

Let's make that happen. Did you get your AC serviced?
