Most of the northern US is paying 20 to 30 cents a gallon more than Charlotte Co. right now.

Those prices are five days old. While there are small pockets of cheaper gas in Mass and other small areas, most of the northern US is more expensive than Char Co.
$2.61 on 41 - we're at $2.84.

This might be only temporary but right now it's cheaper in SWF.

Gas Buddy prices are real time posted by people that actually see the prices. Check out the GB price heat map.

Of course NJ is usually cheaper due to lower taxes.

Coming from the NE where we have a huge selection of grocery store chains - there are not many choices here - I prefer Publix but it is very expensive. I go to Walmart to get paper towels, toilet paper, and some boxed foods, etc.

I wish they had a Wegmans here -

I hear they are building an Aldi in North Port - years ago in NJ Aldi was the real low end food store but I hear they have changed

I just drove thru PA and MD two days ago. Prices for gas were in the mid-$2.80s in PA and mid-$2.70s in MD.
We've noticed both food and fuel prices are more expensive in SWFL than the Mid-Atlantic, even than in MD where there is a state fuel tax AND sales tax on top of that on gasoline.

Just filled up on Cicero Ave in Chicago last Monday - 3.69/gal. Glad to get back to CC, where there are no ex-governors in jail...I think.

I'm a Winn Dixie fan, for me Publix is just too expensive.. In my opinion meats at Winn Dixie are better and cheaper.. I've never had a steak bought from Winn Dixie that has disappointed..

There are some items especially canned and dry goods and frozen veggies that can be had much cheaper from Walmart... Save a lot has great deals on produce and some fruits.. Clements farm stand is great but the grocery stores can all be stopped at on one straight trip down 41 from where I live. For me it's convenience and saving gas... Plus I like Winn Dixie rewards card.. Probably all in my head but it feels great using that card and saving $1.00 or more a gallon at the pump...
