MONTCLAIR COMMUNICATIONS and DIRECTV are in negotiations so that DIRECTV can continue to carry ABC7 on its satellite service. We are working hard to reach an agreement; however, it is important to keep our viewers informed and let you know there is a possibility that ABC7 could be taken off of DirecTV. This station serves the local community bringing you local news and weather as well as top national programs like College Football, Dancing with the Stars and Ellen. Providing this type of programming is expensive. The station needs to be fairly compensated by pay TV service providers to continue to serve the local community. Every day it gets more and more difficult for small, local businesses to stay in operation.
In the event that ABC7 is no longer carried by DIRECTV, you can continue to watch your favorite local programming over-the-air via antenna.

I thought Waterman owned both ABC and NBC. I figure ABC might be shut down for a couple days too.
