Here is a question. Although it may seem obvious. How easy (or difficult) is it to convert, say a chlorine pool to a salt water pool?
Thanks.
Steve.

I believe it's pretty simple; add the chlorine generator in-line in the plumbing and mount the control box, test and balance (if needed) your water and add salt to the pool. The generator will do the rest.

My neighbors converted theirs themselves. They saved a lot by doing it. They said Pinch a Penny had the best price at the time.

I looked into it and it looks like it's a pretty easy install.

I would guess 2 hours tops if you are handy and have never done one.

Cut the outflow pipe, install the generator, mount the box, plug the generator into the box, plug the box into the wall and add salt.

A Pentair unit that can handle a max 20,000 pool sells for about $800
