Yeah if there is a wrong way to make decisions Brian France will figure out how to make NASCAR look bad.

Running 2 Firesticks here with Kodi. Phoenix works good and Sports Devil for sports. People here selling them preloaded on craigslist for under $100. I just bought mine at best buy for $39 and loaded them my self. If you want to see some of the available content do a search for freetelly. It's a pre configured Kodi for your pc or mac. A way to see what it's all about before you invest any money. And of course I don't condone pirating but there is a lot of free content to watch.

We were a cord cutter for several years, then decided to get satellite TV for the Fox News Channel and the financial shows. Once in awhile I pickup information on the financial shows that improves my stock trading. Sometimes the profit from just the trades from the financial shows has paid for several years of cable. Same thing with the iPhone. I was reluctant to buy an iPhone for years. The iPhone was expensive, about $1,100 for a top of the line unlocked iPhone. The extra profit from the trades paid for the iPhone many times, over and over.

The other factor is the news. The mainstream TV news is so biased, that it it like watching propaganda. We still watch the mainstream news sometimes, but if the mainstream TV news is your only source of TV news, your view of the news is very distorted.

Another way to improve your TV is to record virtually everything you watch, and skip the commercials. We've been skipping most commercials for over ten years. Skipping commercials saves you about 20 minutes for an hour program. You never have to synchronize your personal schedule with the broadcast schedule so you don't miss your favorite programs.

We're probably going to switch from satellite TV back to cable because of the outages caused by the rain. Heavy snow can take out the satellite signal, but not as much as the rain. If we lived in Florida, which has a lot more rain, there's no way we'd have satellite TV with all the rain fade outages you get there.

In addition to satellite TV we also have Netflix and watch a lot of YouTube videos on the big screen. We either use the TV or the Roku box for Netflix and the Chromecast to stream YouTube videos to the big screen. If you watch a lot of YouTube videos, I recommend getting YouTube Red, which is commercial free YouTube. You can subscribe to YouTube Red for $9.95 a month individual or $14.95 family membership, up to 5 people. If you subscribe to Google Play Music for the same price, YouTube Red is included for free. So, we get both Google Play Music and YouTube Red for the same price as YouTube Red alone. Another great device is called Chromecast Audio. It's great for streaming audio to you stereo system, when you only want to listen to audio with the TV turned off. Both Chromecast and Chromecast Audio, your smart phone is your remote control.

You have to have the Amazon Prime Video App. It's available for download to a mobile device and most newer smart TVs have it pre-loaded.

Another neat program is PlayOn TV, it works with your Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc accounts.

It allows you to legally record anything you stream fir your personal use.

You can set a que to automatically record TV and movies and in no time at all you can build yourself quite a library. Add a program like Plex TV and now you have your own video streaming service.
