today's paper says they want to buy 3.6 acres on the east side of 41 up to Melbourne st. (up beside the RaceTrac gas station)..another condo-hotel slated..and this quote from a county commissioner "This is a very, very, very important project economically for this area and I don't want anything that's going to slow down their progress or put up any roadblocks"..groundbreaking slated for middle of the year..

They're manage to screw it up somehow.

BTW, does anyone know if that area already is hooked to the sewer system? I would think that something of the scale as they're planning would have to be on sewer.

Most of the 3.6 acres is across 41 from the main area, but they want a portion of Live Oak Park next to the old restaurant for a parking garage. Not what most people would want county land used for.
