This site shows a population decline of 8% for Englewood. Any reason for this? It sounds charming but I have only been near it on my way to Venice, not actually in it.

Populations in beach cities can ebb and flow based on how many residents are seasonal "snowbirds" or full time residents. Only full time residents are counted in the statistics. It doesn't necessarily mean the area is in decline.

I noticed that the local roads were unusually empty lately. The crazy drivers won't be here for a few more months. Vacationers are avoiding the area. The population is declining. Enjoy it while you can.
