Boat rental questions.. (Cape Coral, Punta Gorda: rentals, homes, price)

We will be in the Cape Coral area late May to early June. We might take a road trip to Punta Gorda area ( been there about 8 yrs ago w/o my husband), but what I remember is lots of waterways. So...my husband and I would like to rent a boat for probably 3 to 4 hours and we would like to just have a relaxing trip maybe go up and down some canals look at homes and not sure if there’s a small island that the boat could go to and maybe have lunch and maybe look for shells. Also, any recommendations for a boat rentals for approximately four hours?

You can rent boats at Fisherman’s, they are a bit pricey. 3-4 hours is not enough time to visit canals, lunch and beach areas, you will need the entire day for that if renting at Fisherman’s.

^^^^ 2nd that. You need a full day rental to canal cruise PLUS go out 16 miles to the "pretty water" where the beaches & shells are.

Here are two rental companies:

The second one is a bit unique as they will bring the boat you choose to a local launch ramp.
Their boats are a little older but the cost is a little more reasonable.
