I wouldn't mind meeting Big House the next time he's in PGI. Sounds like a really "heads up" guy.

Hey Augie,

I hope to be down there soon. I am frustrated about getting a house, but things are still moving forward.

Are you in the area? What brings you here? I don't know about how "heads up" I am, but is there anything I can help you with? Thanks for saying that though. There are lots of heads up people around here.

Let me know.

Since i'm getting ready to move down to my new home in PGI, and went through so much to get there, I thought I'd bring forward some of the helpful information that I went through and learned along the way.

In this thread are answers to a lot of questions that are regularly asked about PGI and SWFL. A lot of people really helped me along the way finding out the things I needed to know, and now i want to give anyone looking now in the area an opprotunity to check out this tread.
Thanks SoFLGAL, and everyone else that contributed - I've made a lot of great friends here along the way!

If you are reading this thread, and you see my name in the upper left hand corner, click on my name and a drop down menu will display. Find send a Direct Message (DM), and you can send me a message. It works like email, and actually will copy to my email. I can contact you back the same way.

I'd be happy to help you with any questions you have. There is a lot to know about PGI. I love it there.

I'm glad to read of your success, Big House. Congrats on your new home, I'm jealous!! Our weather forecast is for 2-4 inches tomorrow, and then Wednesday, another 4 inches and temperatures dropping to minus 17 Wednesday night. Then it's going to get REALLY cold. Sigh.

OOOWWW, that's COLD! Don't be jealous - come on down. I can't use all of the great weather myself! There's plenty to go around, and you're welcome to all you want! In fact, I know a couple people that would trade you. I'm thinking about starting a job swap board for people that want to move out of florida for a colder climate and people that want to move to florida for a warmer one. For fun, I wonder if I could match somthing up.

I took my daughter back to school in Selinsgrove PA yesterday. It was cool the whole way up. They still had snow on the ground up there, but not quite as much as I thought they would. I'm leaving on Saturday for my drive down. I like to watch the outside temperrature go up mile by mile all the way down. Start out with a shirt, sweater, hat, gloves, and winter jacket, and peel it off as i head south. SWEET!

You're funny! When are you guys thinking of coming down?

Also you have me curious now, what does your husband do? If he does what I do, he spends w-a-y- to much time on the computer! And for that he should be punished! LOL This board has a lot of fun people on it. I enjoy chatting with everyone when I have time, and help them when I can too.

Actually, it's me on the computer most of the time!! He found this site, and signed up for it, and now I'm the one on it all the time! I'm trying to find a job, so I'm on here constantly.
I'll tell you what he does, and see if you can figure out what it entails.
He's an A.I. technician.

I don't know when we're going to be able to come down again. I don't have a job, so we don't have any money. And if I get a new job, I won't have any vacation time!! BUT, if we do get the go ahead from the accountant/tax planner today that he thinks it's a good idea, we'll HAVE to come down and check out the couple of properties we've been looking at online.
