Nancy, I'm not sure, but by the question you asked, I might like the way you think! LOL

I just bought here in PGI, and I don't think that it matters all that much. The town does not feel that old, it feels laid back and casual, nice, secure, friendly, and safe. Having a young family, I would think that would be important. If you like to go out at night you can park near the town center, and hit many fun places, and bar hop if you like. There are plenty of trendy shops in town too, and the other chain type stores restaurants and establishments are kept outta town. I like that, and they are not that far to run out and get things if you need them. You can hit all of that stuff in just a few minutes. There are also plenty of nice lunch places if you like to shop.

The age increases during the winter months, but over all there really is a big movement of younger people moving in here. There are plenty of houses for sale here, but you hardly notice, the signs are not that big or prominent here, like they are in some areas. The trend for younger people moving in here is quite noticable. The lifestyle here is active. There are a lot of boaters, bicyclers, people walking and jogging, golfing, fishings. And despite what people thing, and some have said, I haven't met one person that has been grumpy the whole time I've been here! And, if I ever did, I just pass 'em by and not let them into my world. :-)

Why split hairs over mean, middle, median, the curve says this, the paper says that. The town is hopping, and you won't have a problem finding and making friends here your age, with kids, and that have similar interests. If someone wants to get hung up on something, they'll find it, but if you want to find things that you enjoy, you will find them. And, if you can't find them, find me! I can be quite distracting! LOL
