Correction: I wrote earlier that The Fishery in Placida was closing. I was wrong.

The Fishery in Grove City/Englewood is closed not the one in Placida. My bad.

Another one in Port Charlotte is the Village Fish Market. Again, I haven't been there in years, so I don't know if it's still there--or if it's still any good. It was around 2000 or 2020 Tamiami Trail.
The Coral Rock Cafe is great!! The best part is the outside bar/club out back!! We were there for dinner this past February, and we thought we could hear music. My husband went and investigated, and found a HUGE outside bar in back with live music!! We had a great time, and went back again a couple nights later with the jveltes. Loved it! The food was great too!!

Ha I'm one of those "retired" folks but I drive a red BMW conv. and still dye my hair blond and don't want to be around old fogies either! Seriously, I'm thinking of renting a very nice looking home in Deep Creek with a pool for a few months in the winter. I have friends from "up North" that will probably be dying to visit me so I'm not looking for anything more than a few nice places to eat, a few bike paths, maybe a day trip to the beach. I want to feel safe and comfortable. The rental is very manageable compared to all the other places I've looked at on vrbo.com. I notice all the comments are old so I wondered how people feel about the area now????

This thread is 4 years old and it is about seafood restaurants. You may want to start a new thread, or better yet, just click around some of the more recent ones regarding the area.

Wow! Good catch. Yep, start another thread. But be sure to look around first, *and check the dates*
