I see all the great pictures and hear all the talk of this being a great place.

I would like to hear from locals and or experienced travelers about the bad things.

I have resigned myself to the fact that there is no paradise left.

Thanks in advance to all contributors.

Hopefully, mr&mrssunshine will see this post as they live in Rotonda part time. I can't really think of anything that's bad about Rotonda. I can tell you that I hate the way they named their streets. They have Rotonda Cir, Blvd, St, Ln, etc. It drives me crazy. Every time I go out there it's almost guaranteed I get turned around.

Rotonda has many canals running through them and most have alligators in them. So, if you have small children or dogs I would suggest a fence in the back.

It is also a bit far from the interstate and somewhat of a drive to any major shopping or airports. That's all I can think of that's bad about Rotonda.

It is pretty close to Boca Grande beach, which is a great way to spend the afternoon. Rotonda is also near Englewood Beach. If you like golfing they have several golf courses throughout the community. For the most part it's a sleepy little area.
