For the past two days I have been unable to connect to Sirius XM satellite radio for any length of time. on my I-Phone. Always getting the 'poor connection' or 'trying to connect' message. Missed the only shows I listen to and was disappointed because I wanted to hear commentary about the 'debate.'
I have it set to use cellular data if Wi-Fi isn't available (and Wi-Fi is terrible in my area) and still not working like it used to. Wonder if I've turned something OFF that should be on for the connection to be consistent?
Still trying to get regular connection to Sirius XM with my IPhone. I had the screen replaced a week back and the home button no longer functions, although it was 'moved' to the 'screen' and I can access apps that way.
However, I still have very inconsistent connectivity to Sirius.....says 'trying to connect' or 'no connection' or it just spins.
In settings, I have download over WiFi only but also have Sirius 'on' for cellular data. Am I doing something wrong?
Any advice appreciated.
If you’re using internet SXM streaming, then as long as you have decent signal you should be receiving it. I have found myself that in marginal cell areas it can have trouble connecting via the app.

Thank you. I don't have the best internet service but have not had this consistent issue with Sirius until recently. I was thinking if using cellular data was also an option, I shouldn't have any problems. But I don't understand technology as well as I probably should.
If you are listening in a car, you might want to get a radio (or Connect tuner) installed. The satellite signal is much more reliable than the buffering cellular internet stream.
I wasn't aware that you could use a smartphone to receive Sirus but what about subscription? If it's in the car you must pay for the subscription. You don't have to pay using it on the phone?

When I had the XM radio in my car I only had infrequent outages for a few seconds. On the phone app it's as good as your cell phone service. I only have trouble in remote areas with 1 or 0 bars of cell phone service.
