This sweet story was in my morning newspaper; I read it with my morning cuppa. I have to warn you that it brought a lump to my throat and hot tears in the eyes....but it isnt sad.....it plumbs the emotions that inevitably are part of loving and being loved by a dog. I am posting it because it might help someone who is facing the hard part of loving an animal.....letting go.
Please remember that even when we feel alone we are all connected....and Love is eternal....and needs no justification and can't be explained.
If you have or are facing this time of letting go....releasing.....I understand the pain and my heart goes out to you....I am old enough to have had to go thru it more than once....it is alway heartbreaking.....but our life spans are arranged that way. Be comforted....it is all ok.
The last line definitely brought tears to my eyes, what a great dog.
