Tommy was around 2 when he came here - he had been roaming around the largest dump (at that time) in the world. The woman who rescued him was unable to keep him and he was adopted by my husband on his last day.
What a find. He was a wonderful cat - always there to let you pet him when you needed it, protective of the family, he adjusted to my severe hearing loss, and a great teacher of the new kitten 6 years ago.
I'm so sorry for your loss...thank you for rescuing him and giving him the chance to love and be loved!
Most of my animals are rescues too, and they are the lights of my life.
Letting go is so painful and difficult, but it's the kindest thing we can do for our furbabies if they're suffering, and I truly believe their spirits are grateful to us when we free them from an ailing vessel.
RIP Tommy...your spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
(((HUGS)))
I'm so sorry for your loss. Tommy was one very lucky cat. May time ease your pain and turn your tears into smiles. Thinking of you and your husband through this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss. He is running the great catnip fields of the sky, happy and healthy. He has lots of new friends, among them many of my furbabies. <<hugs>>
RIP Tommy. You gave him a great home and I know that he appreciated everything that you did for him. Rescues give back so much to us. Sending hugs to you.
(((( Hugs )))). We know what you are going through and send our love and support. As time goes on, the hurt will be a little less. Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a wonderful life.
