A place to share the songs that keep us connected to OUR OWN Lost Loved Ones.
Please tell us their name and the month/day/year they arrived at Rainbow Bridge, and anything else you would like to share about the companion(s) You have lost and the song(s) that keeps Your companion close to You.
The inspiration for this thread, where we could share these special songs, came to me from a lovely story and song MissNM shared with me last week.

If anyone would like my exact, detailed instructions explaining how I get a You Tube video into a post, or needs to know how to make it show as a video, not just a link, PM me and I will copy my EASY instructions and PM them to you.
Years ago, I rented a room from a coworker and Bert was her cat. Bert was 12 when I met him. He had developed some serious kidney issues, requiring special food and lots of vet visits. My roommate could not afford these expenses, so I took care of them. When I moved out a few years later, my roommate asked me to take him with me - because she loved him and wanted him to continue to have both love and medical care.
Anytime I hear the following song, I think about Bert. This fits for anyone dealing with a chronically ill patient. One of the lines is "I'll be your champion and you will be mine." Animals don't think about being sick or dying - they just deal with it. Bert was my little trooper, my champion.
My husband and I recently lost 3 catkids in a short period of time. One had lymphoma and was being treated with chemo. She is a special champion. The loss of the other two was unexpected.
Loved ones may pass away, but they are always with us in our memories and in our hearts. Having songs to remind them of us is a wonderful way to keep them with us.
