An x-ray showed he had a pellet in his abdomen from before I adopted him, a megacolon, a lot of fluid in his abdomen, and a shrunken liver. I chose to release him from pain and nausea.

He was the friendliest cat and he always slept pressed up against me - but not for the last 3 months. He loved being petted/stroked and was king of my household. He was not afraid of my overly exuberant APBT like my other cats are. He was a big boy, once weighing about 18 lbs. After a diet, he weighed 12 lbs, a good size for him. Then he started eating more and losing weight, the first sign of trouble.

Run free, Buster Biggs.

What a handsome boy your Buster was. I know your heart is broken and you've been under a lot of stress worrying about the little guy - I'm sending you and your family a giant sized hug - along with your other kitties. I lost my Callie on Saturday night, and have been trying to find some peace. I've been spending extra time with our other cats and just re-living these last few days. I hope your Buster and my Callie have found the mother lode of cat nip up there, along with all the kibbles they could ever want.......wishing you peace in your memories of him.

I've seen a lot of loss with my cat friends this month - I cry for every one of them. Buster was a beautiful boy.

THank you all for the kind thoughts. I couldn't rep everyone 'cause it was too soon for some of you.
