My sympathies to you. My cat of 19 years is at the vet right now. She was just diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and it looks like we will be making the hard decision later today for her to go to sleep. My heart is breaking as I write this and the waiting is excruciating.
17 years is a long time and it hurts like hell when they go. Hang in there.
Thank you everyone for your comments, they are very much appreciated and believe it not your comments did help.
We took him to be cremated then came back home and just laid around and slept on and off. I tried reading and watching tv but had an attention span of zero. Life can be so cruel.
We have a female cat that my husband brought home a few months after we found kitty, we also had her for 17 years and is healthy as could be. We showed her kitty before taking him but she just ran away. I did notice her looking in kitty's favorite place.
Thank you again everyone. I'm still very sad but today but I am going to force myself to do some things today. I hope nobody minds if I post again.
