I lost my cat, Mr. Pitch Black, on November 19. He was so full of mischief, and super loving! He loved to follow me around on walks outside, and enjoyed going after food anywhere (including on the stove, our plates, the dog's bowl, etc.). Pitchy almost seemed human at times, almost too wise to be a cat sometimes. He almost seemed to understand English extremely well, he just couldn't talk back.

He suffered from bladder stones early on, and inflammatory bowel disease and hyperthyroidism ravaged his body later on. He was 10. I will truly miss him!

So very sorry you lost your sweet furkid. I'm sure he had a wonderful & happy life with you, and you should take comfort from that. Black kitties are truly special IMO. My sweet Stormy was one, and he ran for the Bridge back in January at almost 18 years old. Miss him terribly.

Again, sorry for your loss.... and peace be with you.

Run free at the Bridge, Pitchy.

Very sorry for your loss. I know the hurt you're feeling. I'm sure my Ashau was at the bridge to meet him.

Black kitties are SO beautiful, and Mr. Pitch is no exception.

So sorry you lost him, but he is no longer in pain. RIP, Mr. Pitch.

So sorry for your loss. I believe that he is now running the great catnip fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with lots of new friends. My Katrina and Chipper were there to greet him. ( ( Hugs ) )

"No, thank YOU" for checking back in. Here's hoping everything is getting to be a little bit easier to handle.

I've found these statements to be so true:
The measure of your pain is the measure of your love.
Grief has no timetable.

Forgive those who will tell you, "You'll find another cat" or "You'll get a replacement." We here know how it really is. Two successors to my Weasie (1992-2012) have shared my home and life for three years, but I still think about her all the time. It's in the form of nostalgia rather than the pure sadness which was present at first after she died, however. You'll see.

I lost Jack in October, and I still still and ponder how quiet my life is without him. 10 is so young but he lived life full of love and adventure-just by those pictures.
