Having read all the responses from the "how much do you love your cat" thread know you all will understand how devastated my family is that we just lost our cat last night. She always wanted to go out in the early morning, and was waiting for me to let her in when I got up. She wasn't there Tuesday morning. We finally found her last night. She had been hit by a car.
We buried her, and had the best funeral ever. She gave us so much joy. You just don't realize how they become so much part of your life until they are gone. My 9 year old daughter is devastated.
Here are some pictures of her so everyone can see what a special cat she was. Thanks for letting me share.

Sorry to hear about Muggy; what a horrible thing to have happened to her. She looks like quite a character! And she was very well loved. Hugs to you and your family.

I'm so sorry about Muggy! It breaks my heart. And I'm sorry for your daughter. I live in fear of my Shadow running out the front door because we live on a very busy street. He's only about 7-8 months and really wants to go outside. He did get out once but got freaked out and ran back inside. My children would be crushed if anything happened to them (my daughter lost her hamster on her 7th birthday and that was very, very sad). So he and his companion will have to stay inside.

Thank you all.
Muggy wrapped herself into every aspect of all our lives. There are so many things she did everyday to make our world brighter. The house feels empty and sad now.
I really didn't want her to go out, but since whe was living wild for 2 years when she found us she always needed to go out at night. If she had been an inside cat all along I would never have let her out.
Thanks all for your kind words.

OMG-I'm sooo sorry for your loss. Tears come to my eyes as I read your story. I couldn't live if I hit someone's animal. I would go to every house and try to see who's it is if it was already dead. If not, I would find the nearest all night vet and take it. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try to save it.
I don't understand how people can hit an animal and just keep driving. I lost one of my cats last year to that in broad daylight. I just wish I was home and was able to catch the person who did it. I don't know honestly what I would have done. I'd probably be in jail.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I wish I could bring Muggy back. My babies are everything to me- as I sit writing this they are both in the bed lounging and looking outside. I am very sad and grieve for you especially for your young daughter. How devastating this is! Much love and blessings to you and yours.

Love,
me, CoCoMama & Angelique

Thank you.
This is my daughter's first loss, so especially hard on her. We had our morning routine with Muggy. She woke her up to get ready for school every morning by jumping on her bed and giving her kitty kisses, and then they cuddled for awhile. And her and I cuddled while I drank my tea before she woke her up.
I'm sure it will eventually get better, but this has been the worst week ever.
