I'm so, so sorry Sam .

It's never easy, but going as she did must have been a shock .

How lucky she was to have you for her final years .

Aw, Sam ... this is such bittersweet sorrow. Miss Girl's long life is a testament to your love for her; that she journeyed to the Bridge at her own time and place is testament to her love for you.

You, Sam, are indeed one of the Heroes. "We Are Their Heroes"

Please see Miss Girl's rescue story here...a tragic story with a wonderful ending.

Thank you, shroom, but Girl was MY hero...she taught me more than I could explain about life and love and doing your best when life throws you a curve ball...and smiling through it all.

Sam-I'm so sorry to hear for your loss. You and all your other pups will meet up again some day in the future. You did right by getting her and all your dogs as rescue. I've always gotten my animals from rescues and will continue to do so.

Sam...wow...thanks for sharing your story on Miss Girl. You speak so well and give us strength. Anytime we get down...it's people like your family that help us refocus on the bigger picture. Yes, we ca do this one animal at a time...but what a difference it makes for those lucky ones!

KEEP EDUCATING folks...as obviously this is an area you guys are gifted! Again, you guys are in our thoughts!

Seems awfully quiet around here - and very strange to put down only 6 bowls, and count only 6 noses.

so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. What a sweet dog....
