I know this is an old thread, but I have the same feelings you have. And no, I am not mentally disturbed, far from it, just have this unique, spiritual bond with my late pet and have this growing feeling that she will come back.
It really is the only thing that gives me hope and inspiration at this time.
You have to keep your mind and spirit open to things that others might not understand and you will get the answers you need.
I will eventually confide in a few trusted individuals once the entire process unfolds, but for now, I am just trying to be open and patient and see where things lead.
