I had the horrible task of having to let me best friend of 17+ years, go. It's so hard to have to set your own feelings aside and do what you know in your heart is the right thing....so I stayed with her, kept my hands on her, whispered that I love her and that it was time to leave and that I prayed to one day see her again....she gently passed onto the next life around noon today.

She was my best friend, and my heart aches, even though I know it was time to let her go. Quality of life must be held in regard over quantity...and she did have a long and happy life.

To my loving best friend...I love you, Barnie!

I'm so sorry. He was a beautiful dog. May he rest in peace. My heart goes out to you, as I completely understand. My husband I lost on of our fur babies this past Monday.

Thank you for your kindness. My husband and I were very shocked to come home and find our adult male cat (who wasn't sick) expired on his recliner. (sorry don't mean to highjack your post). May your happy memories get you through the hard times.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Barnie lived a very long life and you will always have the wonderful memories.
I know what you are going through though, the pain is horrible. I lost my best friend and oldest furbaby of 15yrs, Elvis in October and I still cry daily.
*hugs*

I am so very sorry for your loss. It sounds as tho you did all that could be done to let Barnie know how much he was loved. Take solace in knowing he is free of pain and romping over the "Bridge" with all those loved furkids that have passed before him. Virtual hugs to you and yours.
