I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone on CD happens to know an estimated cost to extend my concrete patio. I am really looking for a price per sq/ft.

Total is going to be about 100 addtional sq/ft. Probably at 4 inch depth with a simple broom brush finish. I don't know how many cubic yards it will take to do the job.

Thanks in advance.

My husband and I just had this type of work done, 120 square feet in our yard, and paid $850. Three men, one concrete truck and three hours. We love it! DM me if you need information on who we used.

Concrete alone (delivered) will run around $275-$300 or so just looking at the sq ft. Then labor if you don't do it yourself.

About 1.25 cubic yards, there are calculators out there. Or you can use [100 sq ft X (depth in feet ie 4/12)] / 27

$850 is a good price for 120 sq ft as its a lot of work to prepare the area properly. Or can be. I received several quotes and they varied, it was more expensive to do it the "right way" tying in the other slab.

I'm interested in this topic, too, as we are deciding whether we want to extend our existing deck another 10 feet or create a patio (probably not a 10x10 square but a curved area to look pretty and hold our grill and some furniture). I'd appreciate recs for contractors as well as thoughts from locals about which would be a smarter investment in terms of resale.

Just my opinion, but a deck looks better to me than concrete. I like the hardscaping trend of using pavers or stone but that's more in the $15 + sq ft range.

I can't figure out how to post photos on this forum. If anyone can help me with that, I will gladly post photos of the slab (complete with a rounded edge for landscaping!). TIA!

click post - or quote - and when the dialog window pops up, as this one did, click on the paperclip. Then choose a picture from your computer - following the CD guidelines (which I don't know off hand)- I think it will resize for you if it's too big.

Thanks! I'm working on it. Seems my pics are too large, o I have to resize them. Will post as soon as I can!

Do you happen to live in a new neighborhood where the builder is still building? If so, find the concrete guy doing the builders concrete. I grabbed him and had him do a extension to my exisiting 10x10. He did an additional 10x 15 4inches thick for $400.00

If you dont have the builder still building I would recommend Ocmulgee concrete. I may have spelled that wrong . And if you have neighbors that want to do it also it may be a little cheaper also.
