My husband and I are planning on visiting Falls Lake tomorrow, I see that there are 3 beaches. Any suggestions on which one is the best? We'd like one that has maybe the least amount of people. I hear it's pretty crowded.

Thanks!

I don't know about crowds, but Beaver Dam is the cleanest and quietest, as they don't allow motor boats up in that arm of the lake. There is a car charge to get in ($5 maybe?).

Yep!
I second Beaver Dam. If you come down Creedmoor Rd toward Falls, there is Sandling Beach on the left and Beaver Creek on the right. I think it advertises more beach on Sandling or something, which is normally where everyone turns to. Turn instead, to the right. MUCH BETTER...
Less crowded, alot cleaner and the bathrooms are closer.

I also like Baever Dam. Much more quiet than the other Falls Lake beaches. They also have nice picnic tables right on the lake (10 feet or so) next to the beach.

True!
Only one word of caution though...GET THERE EARLY. Like, when they open. Those picnic tables go fast!!!! Get there early, have someone go down right when you get there to find a table to claim it and then get your stuff set up. People will keep these picnic tables throughout the day so people who have them at 9 am, probably won't leave them until around 4 or 5.

Last summer, we had our stuff set up for about an hour. My friend walked up to our car to get the food and when we came back, a whole new family had pushed our stuff aside to use the table. We had to call the park ranger over, it wasn't pleasant.

Sorry that happened to you. That is such a nice side of the lake, because of the fact they don't alow motor boats on that side. We used to go there alot and canoe the area. We also wouldgo really early in the morning when it was cooler and eat breakfast out there. I even like it off season when there is alot less people.
