This is for a friend, so please do not roll your eyes (I drive a 2001 Honda Civic)...

At any rate, can someone recommend a good BMW mechanic in the Chapel Hill area?

Thanks in advance!
Matt

Why would we roll our eyes?

While I was enjoying the free maintenance, I always took mine to Performance on 15/501. Now that I'm paying for it, I found an private mechanic in Cary.

The best independent car repair shop in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area in my view is AutoLogic. Family owned business, excellent customer service, very friendly. Give them a call to see if they can help you out.

I actually received a referral from my Honda Mechanic at WASP Automotive.

They recommend:

A Better Wrench in Chapel Hill
(919) 929-6921

102 Northfield Dr
Chapel Hill, NC 27516

Hard to turn away a referral from someone in the business I guess.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations!

Not sure I get the roll your eyes comment. Anyways, I've heard for years that the best BMW shop in the area is Shade Tree Garage. Shade Tree Garage Indepenent BMW Service in Raleigh, NC

I get the "roll your eyes". I have to admit indulging in smirking when I see a high $$ car stuck on the side of the road whilst cruising past in my (paid off) old beaters.

I don't think that's what he meant with the "roll your eyes" comment. His friend could be driving an E30 with 200K miles on it.

Default Crossroads European for 15 years

My 1995 BMW 525 has been serviced by Crossroads European all its life and still going strong. Convenient to Chapel Hill. Just off I-40 on Hwy 55 next to RTP.
