Meredith College does hydrostatic testing for $30. It is the very last item on the link below. Duke also has a Bod Pod which is thought to be the most accurate type of measurement. The Bod Pod test at Duke is $75 and they include a skinfold test with it to compare. I am getting my first Bod Pod test done on July 9th. I was going to do the hydrostatic test at Meredith, however I have read the hydrostatic test is a little tough to do the first time. You have to exhale all the air from your lungs and stay completely still underwater until the can get a reading. Sometimes that can take a number of tries for someone that has never done it. The Bod Pod sounded easier and more accurate.
Some gyms/health clubs used to do it (trying to pull you in for personal training). Though they would be likely to fudge it towards the high side if that's their goal.
