I'm looking to get some pressure washing done around the house and would like to know if any fellow Woodcroft neighbors have recommendations. Of course, recommendations from others are welcome, but I need someone who knows how to clean a wood-sided house (stained cedar planks, I think) without causing damage. From my understanding, this actually involves pre-spraying with a chemical solution, using a much lower pressure spray, and possibly a bit of scrubbing.

I've looked on craigslist, but my worry is that I'll just get someone who wants to blast everything full-bore. I already have one guy who comes by every once in a while to do outside odds & ends and that's what he wants to do, even to the roof ! The whole idea of blasting that much water at the side or roof of my house downright scares me.

Specifically, I want to get all the following done:

Pressure wash:
  • driveway
  • walkways
  • Fence (both sides). Fence is wood and not painted or stained.
  • bricks of foundation
  • patio (front & rear). One is painted, one is not.
Clean off roof (blow off pine needles, remove small patches of moss, possibly remove light stains, etc)

If anyone has a house like mine and knows of someone who does the job right, please drop me a line. Also, since I really don't know for sure what should and should not be done, please lend advice as well.

Thanks!

Mike

I used David Ernteman Clean & Green (919)619-9972. He did a great job and was very reasonable.

Thanks for the response. May I ask, what kind of siding does you house have and did David make any special provisions if it was wood?

Mike,

Sorry just saw this. I have vinyl siding and brick. So, I didn't have any implications with wood siding.

Good luck!

Lightbulb Superior Powerwashing

If you are looking for the best power washing company in the triangle, try these folks -> Superior Powerwashing Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, NC Triangle, exterior interior painting gutter cleaning deck fence staining

If you get your a good chunk of your subdivision to do it around the same time as you (which is what my subdivision Fairfield does) you can get a really sweet deal.

Best of Luck!
Matt
