There's a place that sells a great pecan pie out at the Farmer's market in Raleigh...maybe next time if you're in the neighborhood.

you don't need much - a couple eggs, some dark corn syrup, a bag of pecans, some sugar - and a pre-made crust. Really, it's that easy. Add plenty of nuts. Get a bag at Walmart or wherever - honestly, truly, I got a recipe from a woman at a roadside stop in AZ once, and I've never looked back from that recipe. You can't mess up of you give it plenty of time in the oven. For an extra flavor boost, pan-toast the pecans before you add them to the batter. It will bring out more of their flavor.
