Cop looking for lateral transfer (Raleigh, Cary: to relocate, town, program)

Hi! This is actually my wife's account, she lurks here often. We are hoping to relocate there by July 2011. We have visited 3 times, 5 weeks in total and seem to have our hearts set on Wake Forest so far. I am a cop with the NYPD and will need to find a PD to do a lateral transfer. I am thinking of the Raleigh PD. Any cops here? Any cops from out of state that has done a lateral transfer? I would like to hear your thoughts, comments!

Cary PD had a nice lateral program several years ago. I'm not sure if it's changed. I wanted to make the move, but my wife pulled the plug.
