25. You have to get 20 right.

I just took my test about a month ago switching from an NJ license. I printed this list out and studied it briefly.
North Carolina DMV Driver’s License Test Study Guide | Steve's Online Brain Dump

I got all 20 questions right. I did feel that most were common sense. I just needed to memorize the percentages and distances. I am HORRIBLE at taking tests. I get crappy anxiety but this was a breeze. Good luck to all!

My husband and I just took these tests yesterday. Overall, the experience was pleasant. We were at the DMV for about 2 hours, but you are moved around some so it didn't seem too long.

My best advice is to use the Brain Dump link to study, because there were questions on the test (it isn't written, it's on a touch screen computer) that I never saw at all in the DMV guide.

Other very important point! You can skip questions. The test ends when you get 20 correct, so you may never have to go back to those questions. I didn't. So it's a good strategy. I got all 20 of the ones I answered correct. There are some really weird ones on there!

Good luck!

The questions are in the handbook and majority of them are the highlighted sections.

The state will soon doing away written tests for valid license holders.
