Given the weeks and weeks of 90+ temps we've been getting (with no end in sight), it is pretty tough to run outside right now. I'm not a big fan of the treadmill.

Does anyone know of a gym/ymca close to the Brier Creek area that has a nice indoor running track?

The UNC Wellness Center has a beautiful 4 Lane Cushioned Track. 11-12 Laps to the mile. My only issue with it is that it's almost a Circle (about 2/3 of your running on unbanked curves), which is tough on the knees (twisting). Other than that, it is a great newer facility with excellent staff.

Cary YMCA has a 15 Lap per mile track.....hard surface, like concrete covered with a thin rubber coating. Occasionally mothers pushing strollers are a problem, but usually not too crowded.
