Hi. I just moved to Apex, NC and I have a question about my water bill.

I basically want to know if a $60 water bill a month is a fair amount for a family of 4 living in a townhouse. 3 bathrooms in the home.

The water fee is $23.33
The sewer fee is $33.12

Please help if you can.

Thanks!!

Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Our water is about $36 a month with sewer being $36 a month and we are a family of 6.

We have 2 1/2 baths.

Yup, comes out the pipe and goes into the sewer.

You pay twice.

Grab your ankles!

Wish mine was that low. Our 2nd (and lower bill) since we moved here was $90. Same amount of people, same amount of bathrooms and although we have a yard we haven't watered it yet. I checked to find out if we were being overexcessive but online the average for a family our size was over 1000 gallons more per month then we used. I think waters just high in this area.

Water bills in this area are MUCH higher then anything I have every experienced back up on Long Island. In fact, about 3 months of water bills here, would be about what it would cost for a whole year back on LI.

I find it difficult to understand why people would complain about a water bill of $60 for 4 people as high.

Think about it:

$60 a month for safe drinking water treated & delivered to your home for consumption & bathing. Then to treat the wastewater you generate.

That's $60 for 4 people for a month = 50 cents a day per person for these services.
