I read somewhere the details were still being worked out - I don't think they've signed the final agreement yet, so not sure when these changes will take effect.

I think you anti-wireless router guys may be on to something. I just disconnected my wireless router and am wired directly to my cable modem and now things are moving real quick.

Keep in mind that WiFi wireless shares the same unlicensed 2.4Ghz spectrum with things like cordless phones and microwave ovens - which can cause interference, packet loss and slower apparent speed. Also, most wireless routers are set to use the same channels - usually 6 or 11, which might cause overlap and interference with your neighbors' routers if they have one. Plus 2.4Ghz doesn't travel through walls as well as other frequencies (e.g., 900Mhz). Just a few of the reasons stated wireless speeds may not be achievable in the real world.
Not sure why the server is all the way in Wilson--Time Warner couldn't get a spot in Wake county?

Wilson just happens to be the default server.
