Does anyone know where I can find broken up concrete? I'd like to use the pieces to create steps on a sloping yard. I live in Durham, so I'd like to find something in the Durham/N. Raleigh area.

There is tons off of Roxboro Rd. close to Lowes where they had to work on something underneath the sidewalk. TONS! Catch the people on the right day and maybe they will load it into your truck while they are on the tractor.

I see listings under the "Free" section of craigslist for this frequently.

You might check with the city to see if they're replacing any sidewalks around town. They'd probably be delighted to not have to haul it away.
