oh wow - I moved my feeder and put the other one back, but maybe I'll put the hummingbird feeder back up for the stragglers. I hadn't seen any in a couple of days.

A few stragglers is just about all that's left now....I didn't see any at the feeder in the back yesterday, but they're still using the one in the front this morning. I guess they're not quite beefed up yet for the long trip

We spent the better part of an hour yesterday morning trying to help a poor stranded hummer out of our garage! Their instinct is to fly UP, so it's hard to guide them down to door level and out.

OMG I hear you. I'll be so glad when these little birds move along. They are cute and all, but I've spent so much time this summer trying to get them out of my garage. I did find that hanging a feeder from one of the doors helps sometimes, but most of the time we would have to wait until they were exhausted and just pick them up or grab them from the ceiling and let them go outside.

I had one here early Saturday when I left for the beach. I didn't see one yesterday after 3:00 pm when I returned home, and haven't seen one today. That probably wraps up the season here for me, but I'll keep fresh nectar out anyway for the next few weeks just in case

Cleaned and put away two of our three feeders yesterday. Haven't seen any today. Will leave the last feeder up through October unless I see activity beyond that time.
