Have to cook the egg very slow, on low heat til solid enough to turn. Too fast & bottom will burn. Or you can put a little water in the pan, cover and the top will cook from steam. Some Waffle House kind of places use rings for hashbrowns. They often don't have handles. If you want some like that, you may be able to buy them from a Waffle House.
I don't live in Cary, so I let my fried eggs just flow all over the pan wherever they want, willy nilly. No egg rings for them. While frying them up, they sing "Don't Fence Me In."
