We went Friday night for the Fashion show, and it was amazing, then saw the street painting and a couple bands. Came back on Saturday with the kids and did a lot of the participatory CircusSPARK things (one daughter tried to learn some silk acrobatic moves), loved the Shakespeare girls and the opera. Bought some food truck food, checked out the photoSPARK show (really great), and then grabbed a table at Raleigh Times, ate dinner, and listened to another band.

We did not do as much as usual, since the kids were all tired from Friday night sleepovers, and I admit, I was a sipSPARK judge, which was from 2-4 on Saturday, so that limited the time we had and, frankly, my ability to do much on Saturday afternoon/night (except go to Times and have another drink and dinner!)

Did anyone else go? What did you do? DId anyone go to filmSPARK? I heard the films were great, and that the 48 hour film challenge was a big success.

We did artspark, and loved it! We listened to a couple of the bands and checked out the vendors, and looked at the street painting while they were making them Saturday and again on Sunday once they were finished. Two years ago, I visited Raleigh to see if it was somewhere I'd want to live and it happened to be artspark weekend... it sealed the deal! Great weekend!

I was involved with photoSPARK and shot a lot of the other events, plus some of the other shows going on this weekend. What a great weekend for Raleigh (following the previous weekend with the amazing Hopscotch).

We did artSpark for the third year, saw some short films at filmSpark, and caught a bit of circusSpark. We also organized the Mac Down (local restaurant mac n' cheese contest) which was part of tastySpark on Saturday. It was definitely a whirlwind weekend for us!

Sooooo jealous of you all! I really wanted to attend SPARKcon, but it fell on a very very busy weekend for me and I couldn't make it. Are they doing this just once a year? Or is there a chance they might do this in the spring, too?

It's usually only once a year around the same time in September.
