Allllright.....woohoo!!! I'm signing up for the Cary bus right now! Come on people, let's go!

You can board your dog at Crossroads Vet Hospital pretty cheap, I was quoted $16 daily for my small dog. They are good, I think your dog would be fine there.

It's really not a bad trip by car. I've made a day trip out of it on a Sunday from time to time.

I wish the chinatown buses that come to Grand Asia in Cary had a stop at DC, but it goes straight through to NYC.

As of right now, Im planning to go. I am originally from DC area so have a lot of friends in the area. A good friend lives near Dupont Circle so Im contemplating contacting him and seeing if I can crash at his house Friday night. Then I could just walk to the rally. Its a pretty good hike but beats dealing with the Metro.

Default Buses to rally can combine

I just read the terms of service, and if not enough people have signed up by Oct 15 they will try and combine buses from nearby cities.

Note that the bus from Raleigh is $60, and from Cary is $70.

Does anyone have any experience in dealing with the organizers? Have they organized bus travel of this type before?

If it is for real and they can manage the logistics I will promote it on some neighborhood websites.

Great news, guys! When you total up the numbers for the area cities, we are up to around 38, or possibly already over the 40 required (there are 9 registered for Raleigh and 9 for West Raleigh - dunno if that's a mistake). I'm about to make my reservation because my vet has space for my dog. This is going to be so fun.

Ruth and I just signed up on the Raleigh Bus. I contacted the organizers and I think they are sincere, and in any case if it doesn't work out we still have two weeks to figure something else out.
As of this writing, Raleigh has 14, Cary has 32, and West Raleigh has 11.

Tell your friends about the buses and see if we can fill the Raleigh Bus.

Great! we might actually need two Triangle buses in the end. I'm signed up for the Cary, but the Durham one is closer. I guess I'll still go to the Cary one anyway. Is anyone else here going on the Cary one?
