I can hear it again tonight, even shakes the house a little. Just had a couple of helicopters fly over. Guess I'll just have to really turn up the surround sound while watching Caprica tonight.

Yea, we live close to the tracks and are very familiar with that sound - this is completely different. We've just heard it several times again tonight. Maybe it is Bragg/Pope? There was also just a military formation going overheard around the same time.

We're in F-V and last night it went on longer than night before... last "boom" was about 10:30 pm

I live out in Johnston County, NC. About 4:15am I was woken up by the same sound yall are chatting about. Not sure what it was, I got up after the third or forth booming sound to check on my child and he was sleeping fine. My boyfriend woke up as well it went on for about an hr. I looked out the window and when it did it again the window shook and I was a little freaked out and couldn't really go back to sleep. I think cause it's something new to me that I've never heard. It actully sounded like Jurassic Park movie when the dino was coming, it was kind of loud and it just kept on. I think I heard it about a week ago but not like this. We just moved to the place about 2 months ago and before we lived maybe 6 miles up the rd. and never heard this sound before. Not sure what it is???
