It really isn't that hard. It usually just a matter of paperwork, proving that you have lived in the state for a year.

What you should do is check out the websites for the colleges that your daughter is interested. They should have information about in-state vs. out of state tuition. Also, you can contact the Business Office or Student Accounts Office for more information.

To save costs, a community college may be the best bet. They usually have articulation agreements with public four-year schools that will easily accept transfer credit.
