Is there a way to search specific building projects/permits in Cary and find out what is being built on a specific site? I've been looking through the Town of Cary website and can't seem to find anything.

1. Look at the permit box onsite.
Often you will find the permit card, and/or the drawings.

2. Many permits are on the Wake County Revenue site for the property, under "Notes."

3. Call Cary Permits and Inspections and ask.

4. Just ask the guys what they are building.

5. Send me the address and I will do one of the above, just for exercise.

LOL MIke. And thank you RIck, that was helpful.
We were interested in what was being re-built at the corner of E Chatham and SE Maynard where the abanodoned Grocery Boy Jr used to be. We had been told it was going to be Patel Brothers Indian Grocers from across the street in Chatham Square, but we had been told about 2 years ago that they were moving there in 6 months. That never happened and with the amount of recontruction that had been going on there, we were thinking that deal might have fallen through. I was curious if it really WAS in fact going to be Patel brothers and they are just horribly behind schedule or if something else was taking that space.
Form what I gathered though, it looks like it might actually be Patel Brothers.

Lamishra...
The pace has been painfully slow there, hasn't it.
And thanks, because I was curious about the nature of that project too. I wondered if it was another drug store, but they move faster.

I'm just happy it's going to be SOMETHING and not an adandoned min-mart for the next 10 years. What an eyesore! Sadly, the gentleman who owned that property was killed in a tragic accident a couple years ago, so I wasn't suprised to see it sell.
When I looked at the permits that Rick posted, the actual permits says "Owner of Land Tract: Patel Brothers". I guess that means they actually bought the property outright and and are not renting the space...is that correct?

That would seem to be the case.

The Assignment just stipulates all rents.

That's fine, I realize they can do that. For now, the owner told me they are planning to move their business there so we're just happy about that.
