New to the Raleigh area and we are looking for some Halloween fun. Would like to know if there are any bars or clubs doing anything fun for Halloween where we could dress up. ANY type of club or bar is fine as long as its a fun crowd.

10/23 is the annual Zombie Walk downtown.

You can dress up 10/29-10/31 at the Dive Bar. I think they'll have a best costume contest one night, free metal shows Fri/Sat night.

At Volume 11, 10/30 is a Halloween fetish party with the Dirge Factory, and 10/31 is V11's annual Halloween bash with some metal bands - costumes encouraged both nights.

Sweet, thanks Mrs. I heard about zombie walks in other places, but didn't know there was one here.

Bumping this thread for new ideas.

Anything else in Raleigh on Saturday the 30th?
Clubs with costume contests? Downtown events?

I'm kind of surprised there is nothing mentioned here.
Chapel Hill has a really fun scene, also Wilmington.

Since 2008, the Town of Chapel Hill has actively discouraged non-residents from celebrating Halloween on Franklin Street:

Just about every bar in downtown Raleigh will having some sort of halloween theme on Sat Oct. 30th. and be giving out prizes for best costume. Haloween is pretty much one big event downtown.

Next year we should have a Meetup at Halloween somewhere downtown. We could dress like our usernames.

I can tell you from experience that Glenwood South on halloween night is pretty crazy. And that is from an over 50 year old who watched from an upper window at the Rockford until about 11:30 and then went home. Can only imagine what happened after we left. Streets were swarming with people in costume.
