Rubs Smokehouse!

Great food with a very unique sauce. It's a mix between tomato based and vinegar. Very short hours, but worth a try.

It's only open from Monday thru Friday from 11-3. It's too bad it's not open at the weekends too.

Yeah. I go there for lunch every once in a while. Most of the guys in my office don't even know about it. They tend to go to Danny's.

Maybe they have changed sense last February when this review was given :

Review of Rub's Smokehouse, Morrsiville, NC (http://hkentcraig.com/BBQ43.html - broken link)

Either that or some folks don't know good BBQ.

That is one crappy webpage, he doesn't look like much of a food critic to me.

Did you go to the main page and look around?

H. Kent Craig's North Carolina Barbecue Website

May I ask how long you have lived in North Carolina and how long you have been eating good ol' NC BBQ?

The author (Who happens to be my father if you haven't made the connection yet) happens to be very well recognized in the BBQ page/critic community.

I've had Rubs...I don't care how well recognized he thinks he is....his review is not professional and I don't agree with it. Does he have an axe to grind with the owners?

Not very professional at all or well written. He makes fun of their website but his own is similar to one I made in 8th grade webpage design.

I think the 'review' cross the line when he mentions taking it home to the dog and the dog turning her nose up at it.

I've NEVER seen a ethical, legit food critic, professional or otherwise, do such a thing and then write about it.
