Since you guys were so awesome last time I asked a question (and we almost checked out all the parks Kids together is AMAZING!)

I thought I would hit you with another one. I want to take some photo's of my little one for Fall pictures (because well we have awesome Autumn colors going on here) but I don't know where to go!

I want a large grassy area with lots of trees and leaves does anyone know of anything in the area? I am willing to travel all the way up to Apex and through Durham. (I live in Raleigh/off the 540). I am already planning to take her to Duke Gardens but I don't know if it will have what we are looking for and would love more options.

thanks so much!

What about North Cary Park? They have a large grass area surrounded by trees. Haven't been there in a few weeks, so I don't know what the leaves look like now, but it's a beautiful spot for photos! They also have walking trails and a nice bridge that would be good for pics.

Shelley Lake isn't far. Shelley Lake : Raleigh's Official Tourism Site
BTW, most people here just say 540, not "THE" 540.

This site is a photographer that shoots wedding photos pretty often in Brightleaf Square in Durham. Maybe you can copy some of the backgrounds?

The area around the lake and outdoor amphitheater at Meredith College can be a stunning backdrop for photos this time of the year.
