Finally made it to the Westend Wine Bar in Chapel Hill and got some pics! (Durham: university)

I think I posted on city-data something like three years ago about wanting to check out the Westend Wine Bar. For some reason or another I've never made it, until yesterday. I was in town for the Carrboro Food Truck Showcase and stopped by Westend for a drink afterwards. All in all it was a pretty cools wine bar. They have a great selection of wines and you can order different cheeses that go well with wine. I was a little surprised that they had several large flat screen TVs behind the bar showing the UNC game. I guess that is to be expected with an establishment located a stone's throw from the University. I really liked the look of the rooftop deck. I bet it is a lot of fun enjoying a cocktail up there during the warmer months. Here are a few quick pics from our visit.

Is it just coincidence that the last photo is a tad crooked?

Perhaps the more you enjoyed the wine bar, the more crooked the photos became?

I have not had good experiences there. My husband and I went, and the bartender had nooo idea what she was talking about when we asked her to describe a wine to us. And there was something huge and fuzzy in one of our glasses! However, the West End Wine Bar in Durham has always been great. Same owners, totally different experience! Glad you enjoyed your visit though!
